Living...in a Cereal World

On May 17, I asked Babers if she was ready to try some solid food.
This is what she said:

So she saddled up to the table and gave it a go!

The directions on the box made it really, really liquidy.
That made it tough.

We took a break for about a week, then came back to cereal.
Before each bite, she was super enthusiastic.

But after each bite, it looked like she just tasted lemons.

She has the hang of it now, chowing down like a champ.
(And sometimes (just sometimes) she's very tidy about it.)

Five Months Old

Our darling girl is 5 months old today!

Lots and lots of tummy time these days.

Hanging out with J!
They usually see eye to eye.

Hangin'/bouncin'.

Thrifty Thursday

So, my friend JJ (holla!) and I had an overly lengthy conversation about the excellent sale on pop at Hornbacher's last week. The ridiculousness spiraled into an idea that I should post about deals on our blog.

Because this blog is mostly about E (take it or leave it), and because I'm the most thrifty (read: cheap) person I know...I thought it was high time for a different post now and then. And Thrifty Thursdays were born.

Today's deal: inexpensive canvas!

Two Peas

E: Hey you. Come on over here.

Pup: Just let me taste quick....Ok, you seem fine.

E: Let me teach you my favorite trick: Lying on my belly. It's easy, see?

E: Every once in a while, look up so they can take your picture.
Pup: You think that's cool?! You should see how they react when I do my best trick.

Pup: See? So simple! Try it.
E: I think I need another month.

Four Months Old

It's been my intention to blog more than just the monthly updates.
I hope we can get a reliable internet connection before the 5 month blog.

Here's what we've been up to:

 Easter!

Grabbing everything.

Smiling!

Staring blankly.

 Gaining independence!
(She also knows what her bottle is now and freaks out at the sight of it.)

Looking adorable.

Wearing one of mama's favorite outfits.

Going out for frozen yogurt.

Kissin'.

And just for fun...
R may not appreciate this one being posted, but I couldn't resist.
It's probably my all-time favorite.
I love taking E in our room to wake her daddy up on Saturdays.
Fun family mornings!

We got this adorable outfit from one of my coworkers.
She said, "I know it's really impractical. Just get one picture of her in it.
Thankfully, it's been ridiculously cold this spring.
These were taken in May.
